Well guys, I learned a LOT on this project. There are many things I would do differently. Number one...I totally dropped the ball on music:P
Had to do over again...I would do this inside, and get permission for the P.A. system. Needs to be LOUD.
That said...you all who showed up...ROCKED it. Seriously...you were in sync the entire time, and I know you couldn't hear the music. Well done...much respect!
I think had we not been on a tight deadline, and had a bit more time to work out the project...we could do a HUGE flash dance. Perhaps next time (I'd like to try to do a huge one without a commercial project behind it)...
Here is your video...you all looked great...my hat is off...oh, and we got the shots we needed for the commercial spec. I'll put that up in about a week:)
Again...so many thanks (Heather and Becki), and my sincerest apologies on the sound...
What do you think dancers...would you be up for doing another one...only bigger, and with sound;)

Last Minute Details...
OK, we are totally a go for tom! We will be doing a run through at 4pm (location here). You do not need to do the run through to jump in.
At the Thompson Center, the dancers will be facing west (backs to the white and black statue) We will have a camera man on the ledge in front of you...one to the side...and then one or two shooting crowd shots.
A few pointers on the dance...
-wear street/business clothes...before the music starts, act like you are doing something, walking somewhere, talking on the phone, whatever...just not like you are waiting to dance.
-The most complicated choreography is at the beginning...feel free to jump in later in the dance if you are not comfortable with the start.
-you will be facing west for the dance, but for the hokey poky...wave hands towards the center.
-after the hokey poky is over...we need you to walk away, like nothing happened, business as usual (I will update this site with an edited full version of the entire performance)
-we are using a portable boom box for the music...it will be loud, but not extremely loud...we will mix sound back in for the final presentation.
-have fun...the dancing does not have to be perfect...fun, get spectators to jump in...this will be great...Let's Rock Chicago!!!

Change of Event Details...
OK...here's the deal.
We will be doing this at 5:30pm on Friday June 26, in front of the Illinois Center (also known as The Thompson Center, at Randolph and Clark)
In case anyone is unaware...here is The Thompson Center...
There is a very distinct statue in front of The Thompson Center...here it is...The dance will take place next to this statue, but not facing it. Some (1 possibly 2) camera men will be on the flower boxes. More will be on the street.
Again, I need 25 confirmed "yes" in order for this to be a go...if you have questions or want to confirm yes...email me at saralabranch@live.com
Dress in street clothes, or business casual.
Some dancers have expressed interest in a run through before hand at 4pm Friday in Grant Park...let me know if anyone is in for that as well:)
...we will be putting the video on this site as soon as possible...we do need you to end and walk on...Check the examples below...I hope this flies!

The Routine With Music
There is a repeat in "Bringing Sexy Back" that we have dropped. There also is a partner section in the dance. If you want to do that, fine...here is how it would look if you don't have a partner...
Hopefully will have a date for this tom...
